the grand chariot festival. The tradition is one of the oldest forms of
celebrations in the world. The Rath Yatra is celebrated across many
countries. The Rath Yatra is a tradition that originated in Orissa but
is celebrated with reverence in other states as well. Participants
joined the celebrations, performed their traditional dances and sang
bhajans along the way. This is also celebrated to bring in communal
change and peace among all the religions and communities. In this year’s
procession more than 700 devotees participated as volunteers, helped
those who joined the traditional yatra. At the end of the yatra, Sayan
Arati was given. Various sects of people joined the procession &
enrouted the garden.
